Diana Tumminia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with "R" psychotherapy privilege, a distinction that allows her to diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders, as well as receive insurance reimbursement for psychotherapeutic interventions in a private practice setting. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Master's in Clinical Social Work from Hunter College in New York City, with a focus on clinical work with individuals and families. Additionally, Diana holds a post-graduate certification in Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from New York University, which she integrates into her practice for various clinical issues.

Throughout her career, Diana has worked with diverse populations, including students, individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, refugees, and veterans. From 2003 to 2019, she served as a mental health practitioner at the US Department of Veterans Affairs, offering mental health counseling and case management services across various healthcare settings. Diana also provided psychotherapy and mental health case management services to elderly and homebound families in the community and volunteered as a bereavement specialist for VNS Hospice Service.

Since 2010, Diana has been in private practice, integrating her extensive professional and educational experience to provide a range of psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational interventions. Her goal is to establish a collaborative relationship with each client, focusing on their strengths and mutually developed goals to help them reach their full potential. In addition to addressing common issues such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship problems, Diana offers specialized services in maternal and perinatal mental health, including pregnancy or infant loss, as well as in health psychology, supporting individuals dealing with acute or chronic illness, pain, or cancer treatments. She also provides caregiver support and grief and loss counseling.

Diana's approach to therapy is eclectic, combining insight-oriented/psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, Jungian/archetypal, psychosomatic, and mindfulness-based interventions to create highly individualized treatment plans. As a Certified MARI (Mandala Assessment Research Instrument) Practitioner, she incorporates this unique assessment tool to offer comprehensive psychological evaluations and guide clients toward personal transformation.

Committed to professional advancement, Diana regularly attends seminars and workshops related to current theories and interventions in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and family therapy. She is fluent in Russian and conversational in Ukrainian, offering services in both English and Russian. With a strong interest in alternative medicine, healthy eating, and lifestyle, Diana embodies the body-mind-spirit integration that forms the foundation of her therapeutic approach.
